The Opportunity

The Opportunity
Operator Technologies, specializing in gas leak detection systems and custom monitoring solutions, constructed a proprietary system for commercial buildings. With the hardware and data ready, Operator partnered with Invoke to build a software solution for facility managers and technicians to monitor PPM data remotely.
What we built
In high-stakes infrastructure environments like healthcare and private sector facilities, safety is non-negotiable. Operator provides real-time gas leak detection and monitoring, ensuring operations remain safe, compliant, and uninterrupted.
Conducted walkthrough of the end-user experience, understanding touchpoints, nuances, and interactions between hardware devices and software
Defined Operator’s product roadmap for the first release, ensuring alignment with end-user's needs
Designed, built, and deployed Apple and Android apps, as well as an admin control web app to configure devices for multi-locations
Data discovery workshop to determine readiness for AI/ML integration
Outcome
Improving and rebuilding GoOil's tech infrastructure without disrupting business operations
A Growing Product Ready to Scale - Go Oil were able to pivot to a subscription model for their franchisees, because of the tech foundations we had implemented. We were able to add a subscription model within a few weeks
Identified Market Clarity - Successfully pivoting from a residential customer base to a commercial, fleet-based enterprises
Rapid Growth & Investment  - From our first engagements with GoOil, they have grown across Canada and US markets, successfully scaling their business and securing funding from Investors including, the League of Innovators (LOI)
Long Term Partnership with Invoke - Without a technical team to start, Go Oil engaged Invoke as their main development partner, and only recently hired their first developer
  1. Operational and Providing Immediate Value - The solution was immediately implemented to Operator clients, providing City of Vancouver, Vancouver General Hospital, and Fraser Health with the new Operator App to monitor their facilities for hazardous gasses

  2. Continued Partnership with Digital Solution Add-ons - Since launch, Operator has expanded its solutions with a proprietary digital product foundation. Operator and Invoke continue to design and build out new features for the application tied to physical hardware advancements

  3. Market Expansion - Operator has found interest in their technology in other sectors and are currently expanding into Sporting Arenas
